I really think some of the analysts in the chip area have differing agendas. The internet stocks have wacky analyst calls too, and there are always some that claim conspiracies but really its just one persons guess (Mary Meeker usually) and a general fear among the other analysts to make a different call. In the chips and boxmaker area there is something much more sinister. You have these spectacular calls like that one Niles did a while ago on Dell where he stood alone and was 100% correct, obviously something was up with that - and then this kind of thing... I don't see the rationale for this upgrade and there isn't any real explanation as to why it is occuring with the pricing pressure we are seeing elsewhere.. hmmmm, apparently the sox is flashing a buy signal too - I don't really get that either
