edamo, this is misleading. The market still thinks Dell "is" a better investment than IBM or HWP... on the order of 2 to 1. Dell is still trading at a twice the premium of these two companies in terms of price to earnings and price to revenue.

If your strictly speaking of the fact that Dell's stock price has
declined over the last few months while IBM and HWP has gone up,
then that's a different observation all together.

Basically, what's happened is that the market now views Dell's
prospects for growth to be only twice as good, not three times as good as IBM and HWP going forward.
