My venture contacts just stare in disbelief when I told them I still owned some Covad when it was $35 (on its way to $80 - I have since sold). 'Stories' are the key drivers to tech stocks these days. Finding a story with long-term leverage and discounting some metric 5-10 years out (like @Home). Its crazy. However, the winners are just incredible and just finding a few a year can make up for a lot of lemons.
