They would have to sell it for fireplace wood. These oaks, while tall, are too gnarled up to be used as quality lumber. Oh, I forgot, you can't buy quality lumber from the neighborhood Home Depot any more. It is all crap! Maybe they could use the pines as lumber but, it would require a very long period of air drying or go the expense of kiln drying. That's kind of a dollar hit for pine.
