I think you are grossly underestimating the effect of having a processor that is 2 or 3 performance grades behind will do to Intel's earning growth. Intel could grow units but lose big time in earnings growth (which is what matters for stock valuation).

I don't want to beat this to death, let's agree to disagree and moveon.
