<Paul - re: The Merced hasn't been referred to as P7 since the name MERCED was chosen - and that was OVER THREE YEARS ago.>

And Willamette was never referred to as P7. P68 may be, but not P7.

<Paul - re: Intel had a separate - and DISTINCT - P7 design, independent of the Merced.

Although the P7 has been redefined since it was initially conceived, the P7 project has been in Oregon for well over two years.>

Paul,

As the saying goes, when in the hole, stop digging. P7 was scrapped for Merced in 1994 that is 5 not 2 years ago. The Willamette project started that same year and was originally called P68 and I have never heard it called P7.
