True, MSFT monopoly shows signs of weakening, but they are still the operating system on 95% of all new pcs sold in the world. I'd call that a current monopoly. Even if cut in half, it's pretty impressive. They are also adapting to the net as can be seen with the T alliance. Their mkt cap is 3x AOL, but their PE is 1/5. Incredible #s. AOL's 5 yr earnings growth is expected 50% vs MSFT 25%.

Interesting, but then MSFT tends not to sell off by 50% either.
