Suntrader Dave, I reposted this initial post of yours the same day you joined SI -- and that you said you sold your shares when it plummeted and are only holding 100 shares - what exactly did your cousin tell you to make you sell and not hold? Were you a part of a private offering to get xstream canada off the ground several years ago and got your shares of XSNI that way? Just a whole lot of canadian connections on this XSNI issue - all canadians in the rumour mill getting it started, thread started by canadian based upon rumours - holders of XSNI perhaps? Did you sell a portion of your holdings on the run up too? Waiting for the 30th to dump the rest or are you too accumulating? Still going to the UK at the end of this month? Just curious as how you are doing. And you are now well aware that Andy Laslow at Lehmans did DENY initially any association with XSNI and xstream - how did you know about any Lehmans connection from your cousin and no one at Lehmans did? :) Jacalyn bet your wife is proud of you now? huh From: Suntrader Wednesday, May 12 1999 9:18PM ET Reply # of 1450 Hello all ! Having spent the past six months only reading post on SI, i have found them to be very helpful and informative in determining my investment strategies and decisions. With my fortunate stumble onto this thread, i did some initial DD on X-stream Networks and decided to purchase a small amount of stock at $5.65. Over the past couple of days i have watched horrified as the stock dropped to the $2-3.00 range. Spurred on by the excellent DD and info provided by Jacalyn ( Thank you ! ), i have carried out my own deeper DD ! Assisted by my cousin, a futures trader in London, we have determined the following: X-stream network inc as we all know is the third largest free service provider in the UK with over 300,000 subscribers. An interesting footnote to this was found in one of x-stream networks' press release which stated that, "On average 11,000 new subscribers join the internet in the UK each week. The first weekend that x-stream network offered their free telephone calls, they had 9,000 new subscribers sign up". X-stream network was started by X-stream technologies ( a group of Canadian software engineers ) and G.O.D ( Global Online Directory, "Europe's premier web directory" ). Although X-stream network is based in Leeds, X-stream technologies have offices in London and Toronto. A third party in the group is a company called Nethead Web Productions. Nethead has been mentioned in news reports as being a sister company to X-stream network. Netheads office address is the same as X-stream technologies in London. Nethead are a very highly regarded web development company in London. In 1998 they won an award for the best web site development for the site they developed for Virgin Radio. Websites are as follows: Nethead: www.nethead.limited.uk G.O.D: www.god.co.uk X-stream: www.x-stream.com While searching these sites and others, i came across one for an X-stream network in New Zealand. I am not sure yet if they are affiliated, but they deal with a program called Faxware. Find them at: www.faxware.co.nz While i am sleeping peacefully on the west coast tonight, my cousin in London will be trying to get in touch with the people at X-stream technologies. He spoke today with the office in Leeds and they confirmed the basics ie: working on Nasdaq listing, Lehmans advising, Subscribers keep on coming they are confidently forecasting 500,000 by July ! I will speak with my cousin in the morning and will post any news once i have it. Am glad that i did not panic sell my shares and have taken today as an opportunity to purchase more through an investment club my cousin and i have in London. The members only buy to hold long ! Regards & Luck to all. Next Previous
