MM, Investors were looking for a reason to buy the banks, and the CPI gave it to them. Interest rates don't matter to banks unless they are going down. <g> So, I guess the low CPI number makes the higher bond rates a non-event for the dying derivative contracts they have in place? I don't think so. <g>

Myth Man,
There is always the chance that some of the good numbers were set up to coincide with ALGORES rally this morning. The only thing keeping Clinton afloat is the so called great economy. But who will ever know.
