I do not advocate buying a stock based upon the news of a split, nor do I believe I hinted at it in my post. In fact I quite agree with you that splitting the stock is more of a strategic move by the company to prey upon the emotional and psychological characteristics of the investor so as to encourage him to buy. If stock splits as previously stated, successfully stimulate these emotions, I therefore maintain that they do in fact have a quantifiable effect upon stock price.


Boy, now I'm really confused. Are you saying this stock will double in a couple of weeks?

I'm correcting the math but I'm with DOUG H.
