Agreed. Sorry about the sarchasm on the Microdrive. IBM are really great and for a small mobile computer a microdrive with a bunch more capacity would be relaly something. I mean if it were 1Mgbt well then that would be someting I'd like in a really small PC but not in an MP3 player or a a D-Camera.

I expect to see an inversion of the supply/demand relationship that has haunted us the last several quarters. This is where Dr. Harari and company will show us how brilliant the execution will be.

Related to this subject, I read a favorable article on Jabil and other contract assemblers in Forbes this week (July 29, 1999). Mentioned in the article is relationship that Jabil has developed with its customer base in helping to create significant cost efficiencies in production. Solectron, SCI systems, Celestica, NatSteel Electronics and Venture Manufacturing are also mentioned as promising companies in the contract manufacturing field.
