OT OT
Regarding the earlier query about AOL:

I understand they are not having as much success in Europe as in the US. (They don't seem as big up here in the Great White North either). Some attribute this to the fact that the local calls in Europe are charged by the minute and that many telecom companies are throwing in ISP access for free as a result.

I've always wondered about AOL's ability to charge a monthly fee. Why would I pay this on top of ISP charges to surf? I've never used AOL so I don't get the "stickiness." Seems to me that as the average user becomes more comfortable with the net, AOL becomes less necessary, and might be considered superflous to the typical user's needs. I understand they have a great e commerce model, so long as they can retain eyeballs. I guess it boils down to why people will pay extra for them.

PS: Would be interested to here Dozer's or TD's thoughts on CNXT.

Now back to regular UNPH/JDS programming.

TD - Well maybe I could have worded it differently but by restructuring, I do not only mean packets. And what is the definition of packets? ATM cells are packets, IP datagrams are packets, hell Ethernet & frame relay frames could be considered packets. By restructuring I meant the evolution and revolution in the whole telecommunications industry. I agree its just not packets as LU and TLAB alone report record Class 5 and Titan DACs sales which spur chip sales from UNPH and many others. Its more than we have space here to discuss.

But, to answer your question, yes, sleep deprivation does dull the mind! :-)
