That's what is so messed up with this whole silly trial.

Every other company on earth can be aggressive and use words like that. But if MSFT does it then its an evil conspiracy according to the DOJ and selected state AJ - it shows they are out to dominate the world if not the universe. The other thing that is less than amusing is all of IBM's boasting about being the center of the internet and that today's recent startups are like fireflies. If Gates got on a stage and said something like that, we would never hear the end of it.

I'll end by noting that IBM's little consent decree from 1956 will be totally lifted in 2001. This was all set in motion by IBM's initiation in 1996; they seem to be real nice and cozy with the DOJ.
