You DO precede me....few on here do...I started into atmel with 100 shares in 19993...my broker had not heard of it. Analyzing the motives of the analysts is not the point: the point is how will others perceive it, is it true, and how could 'Soundview' allow an employee to put out false and misleading info. In sum...where there is smoke there is often fire. Like I stated at the opening of my post...everyone in the San Jose PaineWebber office 'bot' the story. ALL on this thread...but a special few, are very good at fereting out the truth, and I'm trying to cheer them on to do so...I've done all I can do. Sticking our heads in the sand will simply not do...we need to be prepared. I'm a long-term holder, but I have July options on only 2/5th of my atml holdings...1 & 3/16 for 27.5's...and if it is slipping, then I can option at 25...or even 22.5. If they ARE going to make their numbers, then the entire option scenario changes. Understand?
