I asked the question about PRIA today, I suspected as such. Here's another response (From SI's PRIA thread...excerpted...)which corroborates the only thing I could think of when I asked: __________ Merrill Lynch started the rumour that INTC may award its fab automation business to a Japanese supplier. While anything's possible, it might be more credible if they'd at least waited until the RPQ responses have been received by INTC for evaluation. I'd chalk this one up to ML getting caught without a position and wanting to buy some shares cheap. But then, I never did trust the motives of analysts very much.
