Mike you wrote The stock is a cult, pure ... Can you define cult for me and pls explain why you think the 40 or so companies in the CMGI family won't be able to work together synergistically to maximally capitalize on the potential of the Internet. I mean after all Dell, Gateway, Intel, Microsoft and others have all recently invested and I have to presume they have clue about what is going on.

Thanks
Marshall

what about the poor fools who had to sell at yesterday's close to meet a margin call...

should they buy back in at the open tomorrow ?? on full margin ??

what luck, sell when your i-nuts are down 50% only to buy back when they are up 20% more than when you sold...

Michael, anyone who thinks that CMGi is going to remain *just* an ipo incubator hasn't been paying attention. Look for announcements about NetWright and CMGI Solutions in the near future. These new companies, in addition to iCast will help transform CMGi into a revenue producing monster. Stay tuned.

CMGI in particular will cause unprecendented pain to the financial health of many individual investors.

If you're net delta short, you really shouldn't expect any other result.

The stock is a cult, pure and simple

Well, where are the beads? And for Pete's sake, open the window after you light whatever you're smokin'... ;~)

Michael Young -- You don't have to tell us that CMGI is vulnerable to wild swings. We've got a beta of 2.8. But what you are calling a cult is one of the top 10 internet stocks on just about every analyst's list. You are mouthing the same old shorty/bear venom.

Many people many opinions. Some like you practically think the net stocks are headed to 0. Others think we are pretty much at the lows.

Buy Yahoo! -- It can't get any worse
The news on the bond market, the economy and Internet companies has gone from bad to terrible. That's a 'buy' signal to me.
