What is frightening is that is takes this "Earth in the Balance" stuff to convince folks that Al is to be rejected. When the guy started crying because of his dead sister and tobacco, folks should have given him the hook. Too many Americans are too gullible.

I can understand why. In Earth in the Balance Gore clearly and unequivocally stated that he thought a national strategy should be implemented to eliminate the internal combustion engine within 25 years.

He said earlier this year that he stood behind every word in the book.
