I don't know - I think Kacy, The Quant and others are trading away in there somewhere. It's a humming place, I think.

> what goes on at your site in the stock-trading room?

I guess it's time to "de-cloak"...

Hi Palo Alto,

I'm in there pretty much every day now (the US Blue Chips). Anyone from this thread is more than welcome as we're trying to build up the site. We try to keep the chat professional yet accessible to novice traders as well. We don't need or want any BS, and would not hesitate to revoke the posting privileges of hypesters. (However, FG and I were toying with the idea of turning the third chatroom - Hot Stocks - into a free for all. When the newbies got tired of the touting they could come over to the more realistic trader's chatrooms ;-) )

By way of background...
I'm a co-founder of IntelligentSpeculator.com. I was a pro trader (equities) at both a brokerage firm and for myself for three years before I returned to school to finish my degree. Now I'm getting back into the swing of the markets, devoting full-time to IntelligentSpeculator, and preparing to trade again.

Thank you, Steve, and all the others, for your kind support of the site.

PS to Eric: I love this thread!

Intallment #3 on Mom From School as Future Day Trader -

Today she shows up during the lunchtime sag in the market.

1. "You don't seem to be trading."

Well, there's no set up.

(Sits there munching on a piece of icing sugar dusted fatty carbo pastry - one thing a trader does *not ever* need to eat. Traders need protein and water to say alert and keep hydrated.) Chats with my other half, causing noise to flood the room. Turns on CNBC. I turn it off, since I don't need distraction.

2. "Hmm - still no trading."

Well, there is no set up.

30 minutes later.

3. "Hmm - I guess I'll come back tomorrow when there's more action."

Well, you never know when the action will come. You must wait for the set up. Watch carefully and execute when it happens. Good bye.
