Motorola and Lucent Technologies announced that they would jointly develop a new cable telephony over IP platform. What is the deal with Motorola? They recently announced a deal with Cisco to develop an all IP wireless network. Now we hear MOT is in bed with Lucent to develop an IP cable platform. Doesnt this scenario seem a little backwards? Lucent has a heck of a lot more to offer in wireless than CSCO and CSCO is going head over heels in the cable arena. Not necessarily successfully, but they are aggressively trying. It's like MOT and CSCO are teaming up to head off LU in wireless, yet MOT and LU are teaming up to head off CSCO in cable. What gives??? Are these little corporate head games or what? GO LUSCEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
