I just responded to KZ on this.

Yes it helps but ASPs went down too fast this Q. Overall K6 ASPs will be below where they were last Q. Here is the reasoning:

- Intel said in their Q1 conf call that Q2 shipments will be lower than Q1 because of seasonal patterns. I am not at all sure if that was the case this quarter but let's say that is the case and take Intel's word for it. AMD will be shipping more units this Q than last Q which was supposedly the stronger quarter.

- Intel pricing this Q so far made it clear that they didn't have any intent to lose market share (remember Gwennap's "scorched earth" article?).

- Cyrix was dumping

If you put all these things together, what do you get?
