**** OT **** With all due respect... the press? The press is comprised of individuals who write articles for a paycheck, that's all. The fact that the writer doesn't have the first clue about what (s)he writes is irrelevant to the article. Frankly, I don't trust the 'press' and I shouldn't for the very reason you're angry. The best advise is to do your own homework and make your own decisions based on what you find..... the press just blows with the wind and, for the most part, journalists are vultures at heart..... One day they'll write about this and the next day they'll write about that, they know nothing about either.....

My point? Think for yourself.

My Best Regards.

American Spirit: Of course, I don't know your situation, but I "never" listen to what the talking heads have to say, other than for amusement.

I purposely do my updates each night with out looking at the futures or listening to anyone on TV or reading any newsletters, prior. I do not want to be influenced by what I am seeing or hearing from the paid touts with my own stuff. For well over a decade now, it has paid off for me...knock on wood.

However, I do read ever post on this thread and follow the links. So, I do read others opinions and I am influence to the extent that any opinion contrary to my own, will motivate me to look harder at what I am doing. Sometimes I have change my read, but not often.

Now back to your taking a defensive posture....I never beat myself up to much for that, there will "always" be new opportunities in the Market to make money, "always". Nothing wrong with protecting the nest egg. As the old gold prospectors knew...ones the grubstake is gone, the hunt for gold is over...<g> Just never stay in the cave to long...

Regards,
LG
