<AB Watley?> Yes, Kevin I've checked them out thoroughly and found it to be a good outfit. In the past, they've had some pretty bad customer service problems, but they seem to have fixed all that now. New management team, etc. (setting up for IPO) and the reports have been pretty good for a while. I've spoken to them at length (they're friendly/helpful/patient, even on the weekends - a good sign), looked over all their collaterals, account application etc. The main problem for me was, they don't yet have direct ARCA ECN access like MBT. But, they're on my short-list to keep an eye on.

Jeff Cooper directly endorses and recommends them (I think he has some kind of deal with them). His trading is more off the day charts and the longer-term intraday (I think 60 min charts), though. I make more extensive use of the shorter time frames down to the 1 and 5 minutes charts, often to scalp, and make extensive use of Level II with the ARCA and ISLD ECNs to buy on the bid and sell on the offer. Cooper is so good/experienced at a higher level, that he doesn't have to get into that ECN stuff as much, so he wouldn't worry about the ECN difference between AB Watley and MBT as much as I do. However, Jeff's doing very well for himself <G> thank you very much... he just moved into a new custom-built house in Malibu, etc.

Other experienced traders on thread may have additional ABW/MBT info, I don't offer myself as the ultimate expert! Still learning...

Good trading, -Steve

I tried A B Watley for their free "paper trading" week..each day starts out with a set amount of money. The support people were very helpful and always returned email questions promptly.

I didn't continue as I wasn't ready for it. They have a thread on SI and I am sure they would be more than willing to answer any question you might have.

I do know they were being very careful not to add too many new accounts at a time to avoid any system problems....a big plus in my book.

They come highly recommended in Cooper's Hit and Run Trading book.
