OT RE "What is novl up to these days?"

Revenues were up 20% in the latest reported quarter and eps was up 30% (or close to it); not bad for an established company. They have updated their netware software but what I found exciting was their updated directory service where the personal user (as opposed to corporate) can load some basic info about him/herself and it is accessible thru the net and i think by telephone anywhere in the world.

So if you want credit approval in india or tunisia, or if you have business info/data that you don't want to carry all the time.....its available for downloading whenever. Not having a strong tech background I find this kind of stuff great. And according to the experts, Novl's directory service is the best and will have many more applications than I described above.

The two negatives in the current quarter are that the marketing people are not moving the product fast enough and the stock price has caught up with the company's improved conditions and is in a consolidation period. Both problems I see as temporary and expect the stock to start moving later this year.

CEO schimdt definitely is an interesting leader. I wonder if compaq will land him.
