Why does CNBC show the same commercials every few minutes ad nauseum? Doesn't GE know how to sell TV advertisement? To make matters worse, anytime the commentators get around to having a serious, intelligent discussion, they have another bout of attention deficit syndrome and go to another commercial break (A computer confronts failure...). Making matters even more air-headed, there is a definite naive-bullish mantra being propogated (at the behest of GE no doubt) and the attention spans get very short when the discussions stray from a seemingly narrow set of topics.
