Yep, I try to make money both ways. The late-cycle expiration play () worked out again, which requires you to be long and short over a couple of days. Tout-fests are laughably repeatable opportunities as well. Park your shopping cart and rant as necessary. :-) Currently short via a July 42 1/2 - July 40 put spread for a post-earnings swoon. My bet is that no matter what the earnings are, we see a market-wide post-expiration "unwinding" by Tue/Wed to finish off the Wednesday insanity. Then we'll see if MU's mountains of inventory are a relevant issue. John () Sharp drop the Fri/Mon before expiration, then right back up all the way through expiration Friday. Very reliable, but no guarantees of course.
