I think all that stuff about food poisoning is much overdone. Food does get contaminated by people who have unsanitary practices, that's a fact. But when you read or hear about what caused the contamination, it's always too bone-headed for belief! Soap and water work wonders. The only time I ever got food poisoning in my own home was the time I ate chicken soup that I left out overnight. I was just a teenager, and had to learn things the hard way.

I do wash everything I cook before I cook it. Vegetables are scrubbed, and rinsed, meat is rinsed.
