To Uncle Frank: Agree that CMGI is larger than SFE and is much better known - lots of publicity and "fame". Looked at both and bought both as I ofter do. However, after examination, sold CMGI and kept SFE.

Reasons:

SFE has seasoned management, and IMO that is crucial when you are relying on an intermediary.

SFE has been around a long time. The first stock SFE brought to market was Novell - many moons ago.

(Somewhat skeptical of a company that used to sell lists of college students and converted itself to an internut incubator.)

Note: As Mike pointed out by far the best way to judge would be to examine all the stocks held in each portfolio. But that is a daunting task.

Does look as if perhaps rpt perhaps the internuts have at least temporarily stopped falling out of the sky. Maybe, maybe not. If there is any kind of bottom or floor here, would seem a basket of internut stocks managed by savy folks for you is a more conservative way to participate than trying to pick and choose on your own.

I choose the indirect route because I think trying to stay on top of telecom is enough for me. I prefer to rely on an intermediary on the internuts.

In my case though, I am more comfortable with the older more experienced management of SFE.

Chaz too
