**OT** is it interesting that this morning on CNN a Gallop pool indicated the 63% of US population prefers gambling (or something along those lines)

Thsi a quite bad identity card for a nation. Usually gambling brings prevalent crime as a by-product.

Was not the Mafia who established Las Vegas and then controlled it?

David, gambling is a legal activity in most states in the US. Either at the big land-based casinos in Las Vegas or Atlantic City, riverboat casinos, or in casinos run by Native Americans on reservations. It is an extra-ordinarily big business dominated by Fortune 500 companies.
