These are the same analysts that predicted AMD would be profitable in 1996, 1997 and 1998.

Why do you think they will be correct in 1999 - or 2000 ?

Re: " Turnaround story" - I have heard it. Jerry sells you AMD stocks and Bonds and he "turns around" and rents another chauffeur driven limousine - and AMD bleeds money.

Still, it seems prudent to wait for the actual "E" to arrive before using it to calculate ratios, given AMD's track record, imho.
