(NASDAQ:MGMA), a multimedia, mass-marketing enterprise, announced today that Metro, Inc., its adult entertainment subsidiary, will roll out the first 100 of its new Metro Media Center interactive display units to the adult retail market this week. The Metro Media Center interactive display units and accompanying point-of-purchase program are designed to address one of the biggest consumer complaints in adult entertainment marketing, deceptive advertising. The Metro Media Center is a freestanding display that enables customers to preview scenes from 30 different movie titles before making a purchase. Each unit houses a 20" color monitor and holds up to 240 pieces of video and DVD packaged for sell-through. The first 100 Metro Media Centers shipped are projected to generate total revenues in excess of $1.6 million for this fiscal year, with profit margins in excess of 50 percent. The Company plans to release a total of 1,000 units to the marketplace during the next 12 months. Increased revenues and profits for Metro's Internet business are also anticipated, generated by non-stop interstitial advertising for the Company's web sites and on-line shopping mall in between movie clips.
