Engineer and all,

I tried this question on the WIND forum, but didn't get the answer I was looking for; so let me try here. Does anyone know if Qualcomm plans to use 1 OR 2 RTOSs for its upcoming Win CE smart phone. I'm not referring to the pdQ, but the phone they alluded to 9 months ago during the WirelessKnowledge announcement.

What I'm trying to find out, specifically, is how much confidence the industry has in MSFT's promises that Win CE version 3 will have "hard" RTOS capabilities. My guess is that the normal cellphone functions will be controlled by an established RTOS such as VxWorks, and the computer functions will, of course, be assigned to Win CE.

I realize that this knowledge won't necessarily help QCOM investor's, but it might lead to another promising idea.

Regards,
