Comparing Evan's situation in ORCL with mine: I bought on Tuesday in anticipation of earnings at 27. I didn't write any calls. Now what?

Could you comment and sort of rate the following choices?

1) sell the stock for nice profit!
2) wait for that move up towards 38 and then write calls? at 35 or at 40 strike?
3) side show now buying 40 calls in combination with 2?

should I buy protective puts?
