Mike - You gotta love Uncle Al's arrogance: in his testimony he said that he was sure that a monetary response to a bubble bursting would be effective. In essence, "I am god of the universe, so the bubble will continue, because, when it breaks I will save the day with huge liquidity." Unbelievable. He knows it is a bubble but he is sure he will do better than in Japan or 1929 using the exact same tools which failed in both situations. Is he really that stupid?
