Economic Data for Thursday, June 24th, 1999 Durable Goods Orders for May = +1.4% census.gov New orders for manufactured durable goods in May increased $2.8 billion or 1.4 percent to $197.6 billion, the Department of Commerce, Bureau of the Census reported today. Weekly Jobless Claims = +3k to 302k dol.gov In the week ending June 19, the advance figure for seasonally adjusted initial claims was 302,000, an increase of 3,000 from the previous week's revised figure of 299,000. The 4-week moving average was 309,250, an increase of 250 from the previous week's revised average of 309,000.
