Intelliquis Receives Order for 1 Million ISA Cards From Millennium 2K Solutions

June 17, 1999 12:19 PM
SALT LAKE CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 17, 1999--

Intelliquis signs distribution agreement to provide 1 million M3 ISA cards to Millennium 2K Solutions

Intelliquis International Inc. INTQ , a premier provider of personal computer and Internet software, today announced it has signed a distribution agreement with Millennium 2K Solutions Inc. to provide the company with 1 million M3 ISA cards. The M3 card is Intelliquis' premier ISA-card-based year 2000 solution that provides a permanent fix for potential Y2K bugs in PC computer hardware.

Under terms of the agreement, the distribution of Intelliquis' M3 ISA card will be marketed under the Millennium 2K Solutions brand, the M2000 Module. Millennium 2K Solutions will also support ISA-card agreements already in place with Intelliquis. In addition, Intelliquis will provide its Y2K test software to Millennium 2K Solutions for inclusion in M2000 Module retail packages. Intelliquis will also link Web sites with Millennium 2K Solutions, allowing customers to purchase the M2000 Module online.

According to Mark Tippets, Intelliquis' vice president of sales, the agreement with Millennium 2K Solutions provides the company with an entry-way into the ISA-card market and allows for greater worldwide exposure of the company's hardware products in a more cost-effective and efficient manner, which in turn, will allow Intelliquis to focus its efforts on developing new software products.

"The M2000 module is unique in that it is a permanent hardware solution to the year 2000 problem," Tippets said. "With this agreement in place, Intelliquis will be able to reach new customers and enter new markets with its ISA card and Y2K software products."

James J. Toner, president of Millennium 2K Solutions, said the M2000 Module will provide a solid year 2000 solution to the company's customers and substantially increase the reach for new customers.

"Millennium 2K Solutions has invested considerable time in its evaluation of potential products and researching Y2K marketing opportunities. We found the Intelliquis product provides our potential customers with the greatest number of benefits that solve year 2000 problems," Toner said. "An ISA-card-based Y2K solution offers computer users a permanent, virus-resistant fix for potential year 2000 conflicts, bringing Millennium 2K Solutions customers' computers into Y2K compliance. For less than $100, PC users now have an affordable solution for Y2K-hardware readiness."

The M2000 Module resolves potential Y2K conflicts on all critical levels of a PC's hardware. The card automatically redirects a computer's hardware from its faulty two-digit year real-time clock to a corrected, Y2K-compliant four-digit year real-time clock when necessary. The card also includes a leap-year detection feature as well, which automatically adjusts a computer's internal clocks as needed.

Intelliquis recently added anti-virus features to its ISA card, protecting computers from both boot viruses and file viruses, while working in the background when the computer boots up. The M2000 Module prevents file viruses by offering users full monitoring and scanning features for most software applications and includes up-to-date virus-scan software for known viruses.

Intelliquis' Y2K products recently received a Level 5 rating in Solace Consultancy's Millennium Test report -- the highest possible rating in the report and the only product tested that received Level 5. Intelliquis' products can be found in a variety of retail outlets, including CompUSA CPU , Egghead.com EGGS , OfficeMax OMX and Staples SPLS . Intelliquis' products are also distributed to resellers through Ingram Micro IM .

FOUND IT! Post #2132 dated Dec10,'98. There's a big difference from what we know now and what I was told back then.
1) They have 4 assemblers putting together 800 units a day. there's 48 solder connections and it costs $15 average to build a centurion and they are selling between $125-$165 to distributors and resellers. Their price must be $259 MINIMUM, but can be higher.

Lets figure. 800 units a day, 5 days at $125 minus $15 per cost, is $40K a week gross revenue. That's pretty good incentive for publishing a financial report.

He also said fiscal closing was Sep30, and I heard later it was March31. So which is it?
