Serge - if you want to describe today's action as a "pretext" that's fine with me. Looking forward to many more such "pretexts".

If you think a billion dollars worth of business is "bullshit", I'm looking for the biggest shovel I can find.

Today's news is nothing but a pretext for Newbridge to drop its phony lawsuit. The real reason they are dropping the suit is that there was no legitimate lawsuit in the first place, it was initially brought as a publicity stunt to calm worried investors.

Do you think they dropped the suit because they lost?

Look at the outcome: their prime Canadian carrier, Maxlink, is now buying WIC Connexus for $50 million CDN, giving NN the contracts that Cisco-Bosch threatened to take as well as the Alcatel half of the original deal.

If this was a phony lawsuit, then let's hope they have a lot more just like it.

Incidentally, in browsing through early JDS Fitel posts, I found the following:

Message 3267625

There's far more reason to call NN a world class company now than there was in January 1998.

Pat
