Not true. Sun's most robust OS, Solaris, will be supported by Sun on IA64, says Sun, and, maybe also on IA32. SCO Unix, HPUX, etc. are all also going that way. In fact, I've seen plans for about every important OS except S390, to be able to run on Intel.

Hi John,

I believe there are two software options - Unix (and variations) or NT.

Version x.0's tend to have issues.
