Tony, I don't know of any Taffies (Technologically Advanced Families)in my circle who ever rented DIVX movies, let alone bought modified DIVX players. DIVX seemed doomed from the start. Sorta like a digital BetaMax without the record capability. Circuit City's motivation was clear: the prospect of increased floor traffic. But who wants to get assaulted by vacuum cleaner salesmen, when all you want is to rent a movie?

IMO, This bodes well for increasing the demand for Wave Enabled STB's.

Cheers,

Wooly
