One week after he visited, they made their first - of three - preannouncements. Tad was blind sided by AMD - like all the other AMDiehards. I went back and reread the Microprocessor Report article from October and everything still holds up except that I think branch prediction actually has been improved. Most important of all in October they said June release and they are still saying it. [Look, I know that they haven't yet released and maybe it will all turn out to be a big fake but I don't think so. Also, I know that a good design is just the first step. But they should get respect for that step.] Third, so AMD faked out Tad? He is faking out all of us since he refuses to admit that he is related to Oscar La Fountaine, former Finance Minister of Germany. (Big scandal brewing here.)
