MG, Re: Visability

Thank's for your insight!! It definitely was the right race, but wrong horse. Good learning experience though.

In retrospect, you are absolutely right. In my case C, AXP. CMB or even MWD would have been a better play. I think I would have a revolt if I tried a EGRP. <g> But, I sure like the patterns on that one.

One of the elements I've captured for the Big Boyz is the earnings estimates. I've come to appreciate that the fundamental scoring system presumes that the future will be like the past. However, I never differentiated companies that were projected to have near term problems. I believe that the earnings estimates will help solve the riddle.

I also want to see when companies are moving on lowered expectations or perception. In other words, is the stock being talked up or down, or is there a real change in the concensus. For example, the earnings estimates for MWD were rising over the last month while the stock price was falling (even before the resignation of the general counsel). In addition, the earnings estimates for the Drugs have barely moved over the last month OTOH, I note rising prices on perception, but little change in the estimates.

How is the home remodeling coming?
