To all: This is my 2 cents re: TWE and the upcoming IPO-
I have had an account with Waterhouse for 18 years and have been trading with WEbBroker since the beginning. I have been more than exasperated with the service especially in the last 2 years as they have experienced "growing pains", as has every other OLB.
The stated purpose of the IPO is to pay down debt owed the parent co.( TD) and fund an advertising budget. This company will grow like topsey when they begin to advertise effectively.
This is an extremely profitable company. Forget E-trade and the rest. They can not compete in the long haul with Schwab and TWE. I still hold a grudge-:) against Waterhouse Sr. for selling out to TD and forcing me to sell out 3 years ago! Buy all you are offered of the IPO and as much as you can afford after it settles down post IPO. And don't forget TD. This extremely conservative Canadian bank has made some very intuitive investments, starting with the purchase of this company 3 years ago, on thru the stake in NITE and the ECN. Do I like this company? I love it! Good investing,Rich
