Mike, you wrote:

Okay, I snooped around, and I'm left confused. McDermid is selling, not buying. Today, they were the only firm on the sell side.

Over a somewhat longer time frame, the past 30 days, McDermid was the heaviest seller, shedding 181,000 shares. During the same period, they picked up a mere 5000.

In the previous 30 day period (99-4-18/99-5-17), McDermid was barely active, buying 1000 and selling 3500.

So, they've acquired 6000 shares in 60 days: if they're doing all the buying, we're in trouble.

If this McDermid action is at all significant (and personally, I have my doubts), perhaps the question is better put, is someone big selling, and if so, what do they know that we don't?

About unusual volume, or as you put it:

Something is in the works, large chunks are being bought by someone who knows what is about to happen

I would agree that Monday's volume was somewhat atypical. That was a heavy volume day, probably ranking in the top ten volume days over the past couple of years. As far as the volume for other days recently, personally, I don't see anything noteworthy. Check the chart for yourself:

206.146.143.80

Perhaps I'm missing your point, and you could clarify.

Mike

Mike, you said, "all of the buys recently are coming from McDermid". I appears to me that Greenline is buying and McDermid is SELLING.
