Trevor: You seem to have it right.. HIV looks like a P&D since most past actions occur in which there is a significant one day move up followed by a similar move down (on large volume)... the recent activities are a bit different (as you indicated) in so much as the move is coming off the bottom and the volume is sustained... HIV has moved over a long term resistance at 2.75 or so and needs to breakout above 3.5 or so in order to move ahead.. a lot of people may have been left "holding the bag" at these prices so it may stall...with almost 13M in the float it may need a lot of excitement to move it... the next area of resistance appears to be in the 5 range

Personally, I do not believe that TA can address biotech stocks well in so much as these issues are SO subject to news and hype that they take in a "different" look...Again, personally, I believe that biotechs are a pick based on whether you believe in the product/company (and if the FDA does as well)... Biotechs are as a result (IMO) rather binary, either they pop or they crap out, there is almost no in between (is there?).... Yes, I have invested in one Biotech; ALLP since I believe that they have a likelihood of introducing "fake blood" as well as couple of other products that enhance instrument effectiveness (multiple products, most in phase 3, improvements rather than cures, etc,,, I've put it away and expect to sell it on the hype...FWIW

Please fell free to offer your biotech expertise to Rande and the thread... sorry I could be of more help.
