If you buy today and any day before June 30, you'll still get the distribution of additional shares generated by the split. Ask your broker for confirmation if you don't believe me.

No mystery. Have you checked out mutual funds? When you get your confirmation statement after the purchase, it will say with 'due bill split 3:1'.
