Also the dancers have partners already. Sega/Videologic, Nintendo/ArtX, and Sony. And to be honest, only two of those three consoles will survive (probably Sony and Big N).


Based on the reception Sega got at E3, I'd say it's more likely to be the Big N that bombs.

The tough part doesn't necessarily seem to be in bringing the technology together (although putting together a robust little platform that's fast and very very cheap is a pretty big challenge) but rather in rallying a significant piece of the industry behind your product. That's probably where the billion dollars goes, although the number seems awfully high.
