goldsnow, NO. I think you misunderstood my statement. I was not talking about criticizing the US president in China, I was talking about I can criticize the Chinese president in China, or any other my boss at work. I can fight with my boss in China (it actually happened)if I feel I am being treated unfairly without being afraid of getting fired. But I cannot do the same here in the US, unless I have another job offer waiting for me. No matter how I am treated unfairly, I have to "grin and bear it".

What the president does, Chinese or American, I don't care that much. I am an ordinary people. What I really care is whether I am treated fairly in my work place, or other things directly connected to my life. In terms of these things, I have more personal freedom in China.
