According to RIG fleet status from SSB, the Discoverer Seven Seas is currently on contract to BP Amoco in the GOM until next month at a dayrate of 130-132K. I think there is lots of interest in deep-drilling among the majors but they may be trying to catch the bottom in dayrates. I wouldn't be surprised to see lots of deals in the near future if the majors become convinced that this is indeed the bottom. Can't remember the last deepwater deal and now we have three in one day.
