i sell covered calls on my abx/nem holdings when there's a run up.

sold 22.5 calls on NEM last month and when it came back down, kept the premium and the stock...what the hell.

sold 17.5 calls on NEM this month for 1.5 a couple of weeks ago....if it gets called away, i'm up from where i bought it, if not, i'll sell the calls again in the next blip up......

doing the same with ABX....generating minimum of 3-4% just on the premiums....annualized to 36-48% return on the money invested,,,and I figure the downside is limited,,,,WTF...I'll take that any freaking year, and I won't mind paying the tax.....I'd rather pay the tax, then take a loss into the year 2000.....the more tax I get to pay on my investments/trades, the better I feel.....call me crazy.
