Ian, I doubt that a full million of the short got out today, we had about 400,000 until about $2 or so, when it started to pick up, so that leaves you total trading of about 1.5 MM shares on the "rush", but due to double counting and also due to the many "reactions" during this time, I would say that that at best 300,000 shares were short (half or less of the 750,000 shares after the double counting is taken out). As a matter of fact, I would not be surprised if the net decline, if any was only half that much, since I think that additional new shorting must have taken place as well. No, I think that there is plenty of fuel in that "short tank" to carry us a little further. Just remember this area here ($95 to $97) is quite congested, and you will see quite a lot of selling. I for one, believe that $88 to $90 will be seen again by the end of next week.

Rambus has tended to move in two or three day surges, then pull back. If your theory is right, and since we closed on an uptick at virtually at the high, a move up at the open tomorrow could trigger another round of covering. Over and over. HMMMMMM. Not a bad concept.
