Thanks for the link to the Barclays product story. The article says, "On Tuesday, Greenberg broke the news that Barclays had filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission to start a slew of new open-end index funds that would trade on the American Stock Exchange."

I wonder if the author is mistaken. How could an open-end fund trade on an exchange like a stock? Did he mean closed-end fund?

I have heard from a friend that there institutional index accounts that currently exist for large investors make Vanguard look expensive.
